We have a variety of spaces available for rent in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Pete Peterson Lodge at Lagoon Park and Gateway Lodge at Gateway Park are both suitable for large groups. Many of our community centers have rooms available for rent and numerous parks have picnic shelters that can accommodate groups of all size in an outdoor setting.

Parks are open daily and close at sunset, however, moonwalks are allowed in Lagoon ParkOak ParkIda Belle Young Park and Gateway Park. Proof of insurance is required.

How to Rent/Reserve

  • Lodges and Picnic Shelters - Call 334-625-2300 
       - Credit Cards are now accepted.
       - Currently, we are not taking reservations due to COVID-19.
  • Community Center rooms - Call the Center directly

  • Central Standard 8 am - 1 pm
  • Daylight Savings 10 am - 2 pm

Located in the east central part of the city, between Atlanta Highway and I-85, Goodwyn Community Center is a large center, adjacent to a middle school. Indoor features include a gym, one large and two small meeting rooms, concession area, locker rooms, and a ceramic studio. Outdoor space includes playing fields, tennis courts and a baseball/softball complex. The center supports physical education classes during the school year, and offers both after school and full day summer programs for middle school aged children. Open gym play in the evenings and on Sundays, as well as ceramics classes, are available for adults throughout the year, and the center is available for community meetings and rentals.
