Ride the Harriott II Riverboat, take in a ball game, attend a great concert, take the kids for a day of fun in a neighborhood park, play a few rounds of Golf, enjoy a Tennis Match, or get some invigorating exercise on one of our scenic walking trails.  The Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department has something for everyone! 

Make your plans to attend the first Second Saturday of 2015 on April 11th!  It will begin with a Classic Car Show at Noon at Riverwalk Park.

The State Archery Competition is returning to the Multiplex on Friday, April 10th.  Click Here for more information!

The French Open Novice Tennis Championship will be held on Saturday, April 11th.  Deadline to register is Wednesday, April 8th.  Call (334) 240-4884 for more information.

 

If you wish to hold an event in the City of Montgomery you must apply for a Special Event Permit.  Click Here to read the handbook and complete the form.

 

Newtown

The Newtown Community Center in north central Montgomery is the home to both a Montgomery Area Council on Aging program for senior adults, and a Head Start school. Featuring a large meeting space with stage, classrooms, offices and a large kitchen, the center primarily offers after school and summer programs for children.
