Parks and Recreation                 

Ride the Harriott II Riverboat, take in a ball game, attend a great concert, take the kids for a day of fun in a neighborhood park, play a few rounds of Golf, enjoy a Tennis Match, or get some invigorating exercise on one of our scenic walking trails.  The Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department has something for everyone!  

The Gun and Knife Show is back at the Multiplex on September 19th and 20th!

The Montgomery Roller Derby is coming to the Multiplex! Come and watch Home Bout vs. Brawl Stars on September 26th from 7 - 9 p.m.

It's never to early to start thinking about the holidays! Make your plans to attend the Junior League Holiday Market at the Multiplex from Thursday, October 15th - Saturday, October 17th.


If you wish to hold an event in the City of Montgomery you must apply for a Special Event Permit.  Click Here to read the handbook and complete the form.


W.A. Gayle Planetarium

The W.A. Gayle Planetarium was built in 1968 and opened its doors in 1969. It features over 200 theatre style seats and is located in Oak Park, adjacent to the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office.
