Parks and Recreation                    

Ride the Harriott II Riverboat, take in a ball game, attend a great concert, take the kids for a day of fun in a neighborhood park, play a few rounds of Golf, enjoy a Tennis Match, or get some invigorating exercise on one of our scenic walking trails.  The Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department has something for everyone! 

Plant It Montgomery is back!  This year's event will be held on April 18th from 9 a.m. - Noon.

The Montgomery Youth Initiative is holding a Summer Matters Fair on Saturday, April 18th. The event is Free and all children must be accompanied by an adult.


If you wish to hold an event in the City of Montgomery you must apply for a Special Event Permit.  Click Here to read the handbook and complete the form.


Calhoun Park (Twin Gates)

A multi-use park, Calhoun features a meeting center, covered basketball courts, playground and tennis courts. A walking trail surrounds a field large enough for football or soccer.
